Halden was founded in 2011 on a simple idea: represent fewer homes, and give each one the care its architect intended.
(01) Our story
We started Halden because we thought great homes deserved a different kind of agent: one who understands how a house was designed, and can explain that to the right buyer.
Our founder, Eleanor Hart, spent a decade at an architecture practice in London before moving to Sausalito. She saw how often remarkable homes were marketed like any other, and priced by the square foot.
Today we are four partners and a small support team. We take on a limited number of homes each season, so every client works directly with a partner from valuation to completion.
